Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Nine individuals, including three children, tragically lost their lives in a devastating collision between a jeep and a tractor in Bihar's Khagaria district on Monday morning. The collision occurred around 6:30 am near a petrol pump on National Highway 31 in the Pasraha area, leaving six others injured, according to police reports.
The victims were returning from a wedding when the accident transpired. Police revealed that the tractor involved was overloaded at the time of the collision. The injured individuals were promptly admitted to a nearby health center for medical attention. Among the deceased were identified Gautam Thakur (32), Monu Kumar (7), Aman Kumar (25), Bunty Kumar, Anshu Kumar (23), Paltu Thakur (50), Dilo Kimar (10), Prakash Singh, and Dharmendra Sharma, all occupants of the jeep.
Superintendent of Police Chandan Kushwaha affirmed that an investigation into the tragic incident is currently underway, with the bodies slated for post-mortem examinations.
